Carl Lee “Moose” Fuller, 32, of Salisbury, was apprehended by Delaware State Police in Delmar for the alleged murder of 57-year-old Salisbury resident David Pfeffer.
Shortly before 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1600 block of St. Lukes Road in Salisbury after receiving a 911 call from a neighbor reporting a cardiac arrest.
Upon arrival, they found Pfeffer lying on the ground outside of this home, where he was pronounced dead with “signs of obvious trauma on (his) body,” according to investigators.
His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy, where his death was ruled a homicide from blunt force trauma.
Police say that on Sunday, Oct. 23, Homicide Unit investigators located Pfeffer's white Dodge truck at a residence in Delmar, Delaware.
The truck was reported missing from Pfeffer’s home following his death, and in coordination with the Delaware State Police, a search warrant was executed on the Delmar residence where Fuller was subsequently located and arrested without incident.
“Police were able to locate evidence linking Fuller to the homicide investigation,” according to a police spokesperson. “He was taken into police custody by Delaware State Police and later interviewed by detectives from the Maryland State Police.”
Fuller has been charged with:
- First-degree murder;
- Second-degree murder;
- First-degree assault;
- Second-degree assault;
- “Other criminal charges."
He is being held in Delaware pending extradition proceedings to return him to Maryland.
